We offer family photography and children’s photography without props, clichés or forced smiles. As family photographers and child photographers, our focus is on expression through play, light and composition – bringing out the very best in the child or family in front of the camera. The look should be simple, natural and timeless.

We strive for the classic. Across four generations we've watched trends come and go – and we've had photographers who mastered them all. In the 1940s the focus was on the people; in the ’50s: the clothing. The ’60s and ’70s introduced chairs and furniture, the ’80s gave us columns, the ’90s sheepskin rugs, and the 2000s newborns in buckets and tubs. All of that has been cleared from our studio.

Today the focus is back where we believe it belongs – on the people, not the backdrop. And it's through play and laughter that the genuine moments emerge.

No two children are alike, and every family needs its own approach. We take the time to understand who is in front of the camera – often through a quick chat beforehand.

In the studio, at home or outdoors

Sometimes the studio is best. Other times we find the perfect setting at home or outdoors. Together we'll explore the options – there are plenty. And if the aim is to tell a story, venturing outside the studio can be inspiring.
